About

Scatterplot will provide a space to specifically address using data science in the mathematics classroom as well as a roadmap for instructors to incorporate data science into their courses or programs.

Scatterplot will not be limited to traditional articles. We will also publish video interviews with data science practitioners, articles that provide links to data resources, and other more dynamic content. We are especially interested in have recent graduates now in the workforce describe how their mathematical courses prepared them for careers.

Topics include pedagogy and teaching practice, development of curricula that combine mathematics and data science at the course or program level, intersections with other disciplines, social justice and ethics, and exposition of mathematical ideas used in data science applications.

We aim to provide an opportunity for mathematicians interested in modern applications to share their experiences with the ÄûÃʵ¼º½community. 

Scatterplot only publishes manuscripts manuscripts in English and has a double-blind review policy.
